How to read the lines

Every spread is shown from Georgia Tech’s side. −6.5 means Tech was favored by 6.5 points, and +12.5 means Tech was a 12.5-point underdog. The opening line is the first number posted, usually the Sunday before the game. The closing line is the market consensus at kickoff. Movement between the two shows which way bettors pushed the number.

This archive records lines for reference and reporting. It isn’t betting advice. A dash means the number hasn’t been found yet, not that no line existed.
